The Process

  1. Evaluation Phase: This is the information gathering phase of therapy where the therapist gains an understanding of factors that impact your relationship (e.g., current stressors, background history, childhood factors, etc) and includes an initial appointment and each partner attending an individual session

  2. Feedback Session: Your therapist will take the information from the initial sessions to develop a summary of the relationship, stressors, patterns/cycles, and assess commitment towards continued treatment.

  3. Treatment Phase: During this phase, the therapist will work with the couple to incorporate strategies to move you closer to your goals, disrupt negative patterns and improve communication.

  4. Re-Evaluation: Throughout the process, the therapist will collaborate with the couple to re-evaluate and monitor your progress, obstacles, and readjust the treatment plan to fit your needs.
